The Lab
The MMLab is housed in three different rooms:
- Preparation Room: Storage and preparation of human or other biological tissues.
- Testing Room: Assessment of structure and mechanical properties of samples
- Clean Room: Cell and tissue culture work
Mechanical Analysis
The mechanical properties of structures and materials can be assessed on various lengthscales.
Structural Analysis
The microscale morphology of samples can be investigated in 2D and 3D.
Sample Preparation
The preparation room is devoted to storage and preparation of biological and other samples. It includes a fume hood, a dissection table, 14 meters of bench space and a central modular working space that can be adapted for new projects. The equipment necessary for freezing, cleaning, drying, sectionning, drilling, polishing and weighting of hard tissue samples is available.
